A Royal Wedding Anniversary: A Photographer's Perspective

This ethereal moment was immortalized by Sandra, who shared a rare glimpse into the behind-the-scenes magic on her Instagram. The princess, with her gaze downward, exudes an air of elegance and anticipation.
Her gown, a masterpiece by Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos, featured a low V-shaped back and a full skirt, paying homage to her parents, the Duke and Duchess of York. The fabric, adorned with the White Rose of York, added a personal touch to the custom design.
But the princess' ensemble wasn't complete without the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara, an incredible heirloom with a 93.7-carat emerald at its heart. This headpiece, with its Art Deco design, is said to have been crafted in Paris, adding a touch of old-world glamour to the modern wedding.
While Alex Bramall was the official photographer for the royal couple, Sandra was entrusted with capturing these precious, private moments. She revealed to HELLO! that building trust was key to her success, especially when dealing with a high-profile wedding like Eugenie and Jack's. "Everyone hates their picture being taken!", she said, adding that she had to fill out numerous NDAs and deal with a particularly camera-shy individual.
Sandra's approach was to disarm with conversation, and her likeability and ease with people proved invaluable. The princess herself acknowledged Sandra's talent, sending her a heartfelt note afterward, complimenting her ability to connect with people and match their energy.
"It's all about sensitivity", Sandra explained. "A wedding photographer, no matter the scale, is a stranger in a family's personal space. Being able to approach it with lightness, sensitivity, and a sense of timing is crucial."
